Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains
My mother-in-law drove up from Florida last weekend for a quick four day visit, the day before she left for a 10 hour drive back home we took a drive into the mountains to check out the fall foliage. The colors weren’t at their peak but they were getting there and it was simply beautiful. This was taken in Cades Cove, an 11-mile, one-way loop. One of my favorite spots to stop is at the very beginning where they have horse stables and you can pull off the road and visit with the horses. Fall colors, horses and mountains, I couldn’t ask for anything better.
