Behind Muse & Sparrow

For all of those out there who are curious about the name Muse & Sparrow, here is a little back story into my business name choice.

I originally started out using Stephanie Cook Photography, but there are about a dozen of those already and I really wanted something original (just like everyone else).  I spent quite a while trying to come up with something that sounded right but I wasn’t having any luck, so I turned to my husband who is a very talented writer.  As you can probably tell from my blog and the lack of writing that I do, I am not much for words, my husband on the other hand always seems to have the perfect words for everything, he even helps me title my photos.  I asked him to work on a name for my photography business and within two hours he came up with Muse & Sparrow Photography.  He took one of my favorite Hymns “His Eye is on the Sparrow” and put it together with the fact that I always call him my muse because he is my go to person when I am trying to work out an idea for a photo shoot, he always seems to have exactly what I am missing and it always works out perfectly.  I couldn’t do what I do if it wasn’t for God and my wonderful husband, so Muse & Sparrow just made sense.
